Home Care & Digital CaregivingSkilled hands. A connected home.
About 75 classroom-equivalent hours mapped to federal home health aide rules, Arizona's Direct Care Worker training and the Arizona CTE Home Health Aide standards. Federal rules require at least 75 hours in total, including at least 16 hours of supervised practical training; that hands-on part, and the skills check, happen at a partner program. Plus what most caregiver courses leave out: telehealth, remote monitoring devices, patient portals and medication reminders.
FFH teaches the classroom part online. Hands-on skills testing happens at a partner program.

Good to know
Do I get a credential from this course?
You get an FFH certificate of completion. Credentials such as the AHCCCS Direct Care Worker and CNA/LNA are earned through approved testing programs and state boards. This course prepares you for them.
Where do I do the hands-on skills?
At a partner program, such as a JTED campus, a college or an AHCCCS-approved training and testing program. That is where the RN skills check and competency testing happen.
I'm caring for a family member. Do I need the lab?
No. If you are not seeking a credential, the online course gives you the knowledge and the digital caregiving skills. For hands-on technique, ask your loved one's care team or a local program.
Does it count for Arizona CTE?
It is mapped to the Arizona CTE Home Health Aide 51.2602 standards. Districts can earn the $1,000 per-graduate industry credential incentive when students earn a listed credential, such as Direct Care Worker.
What devices do I need?
Any phone, tablet or computer with a web browser. For the digital caregiving module, a smartphone helps.
How does it connect to the rest of the pathway?
It stacks after Digital Health Navigator Pro and sits beside CHW Pro on the CTE Workforce Pathway.
