Standards

Mapped to the standards that matter.

The honest part: CHW certification rules vary by state, and CHW Pro is not a state certification. We are pursuing state approval, starting with AzCHOW in Arizona and the Pennsylvania Certification Board. Check your own state's rules before you enroll. We are glad to help you find them.
Capstone

My Healthy IDEAS.

Learners finish by running a real community project in five steps. It is built on FFH's Health BASICS and Social Determinants of Health courses.

Identify

Pick one health need in your community using data and the voices of people who live there.

Design

Plan a small, doable project with a clear goal and a way to measure it.

Engage

Bring in partners and the people the project is for.

Assess

Measure what changed and what you learned.

Share

Present the results to your community, your class or your funder.

Proven in the field. My Healthy IDEAS has been used as the capstone in a certified Junior CHW course approved by the State of Ohio.
Practicum log

130 hours. Signed and counted.

Learners log practicum hours right in the course. A site supervisor signs off on each entry. Program leaders see it all on the cohort dashboard and can export it.

  • Log by date, site, C3 role and hours
  • Supervisor sign-off per entry
  • Exportable record for employers and certification applications
  • Arizona's ADHS certification path also asks for 480 hours of work experience. A clean log helps you show it.

Welcome from Coach Lucy and Dr. Rob

Welcome. Community Health Workers are the trusted bridge between neighbors and the health and social services they need. Many of the best CHWs started by helping their own families.

CHW Pro gives you the skills, the scope and the boundaries of the role, mapped to the national C3 standard, with a capstone where you lead a real community project.

Take it one unit at a time. Learn it, live it, then share it. Your community is already counting on you.
