· Ask Dr. Rob · 360° Human SeriesHow your body is built — and how it works.
Form & Function takes you from a single cell to the whole human: 13 body systems, every part’s form (what it looks like) and function (what it does), the conditions that can go wrong and how to protect yourself — taught by Dr. Rob.
“This is your only body. Understand how it works.”
— Dr. Rob, your host
Form tells you what it is. Function tells you what it does.
That’s how doctors have always learned the body. Pick a system, then tap any part to see its form and its function — straight from Dr. Rob’s series.
Learn it your way. Lead it your way.
The same 13 systems, Dr. Rob’s explanations and videos power all four. Mix and match — your coins and badges carry across the FFH Academy.

The Form & Function Qwest
Travel the 360° Human one station at a time. Every station runs the same six steps — beat the boss to earn that system’s badge, then live it and share it. Coins, level-ups and celebrations all along the way.
Meet Dr. Rob.
Dr. Robert Gillio is a physician trained at Mayo Clinic and the co-founder of The Force for Health. He built Form & Function so anyone — a student, a caregiver, a future health worker — can understand the body the way doctors learn it.
“Learn it, Live it, Share it. Teach yourself first, then be prepared to teach others.”
Dr. Rob’s 2019 Form & Function video series is at the heart of every station — now upgraded with games, an eBook and a leader’s guide.
Run it with a class, club or cohort.
You don’t need to be a doctor. Dr. Rob does the teaching on video and in the eBook; the Group Leader’s Guide gives you everything else.
What you need to know before you adopt it.
Form & Function is a ready-to-run anatomy & physiology foundation for health-science pathways, science classes, health classes and after-school clubs. Here is the time it takes, what learners earn, what they’ll be able to do, and the standards it supports.
Time & coins
Every part of the series pays into the learner’s Force for Health account in the platform’s four coins. Videos pay 10 LEARN It coins per minute watched, and only when watched all the way through.

Learning objectives
By the end of the series, learners will be able to:
- Describe how the body is organized, from a single cell to tissues, organs, systems and the whole human.
- Identify the form and function of about 90 body parts across 13 body systems.
- Explain how body systems work together and use feedback to keep the body in balance (homeostasis).
- Recognize common conditions and warning signs for each system, and when to get help.
- Choose everyday actions and screenings that protect each system, and practice one per system.
- Use correct medical vocabulary to explain a body system to someone else.

Good to know
Do I need a science background?
No. Dr. Rob starts with a single cell and builds up one system at a time, with everyday analogies — a car, a community, a camera, a chimney — to make it stick.
What’s the difference between the course, the Qwest and the eBook?
They cover the same 13 systems. The course is Dr. Rob’s original lessons, the Qwest turns them into a game with badges and a certificate, and the eBook is an illustrated reader with worksheets. Use one, or all three.
How long does it take?
About 45 minutes per Qwest station including the video, games, Live It and Share It — about 11 hours for the whole series with the eBook. With a group, plan one 45-minute session per system. See time & coins for the full breakdown.
Is it appropriate for young people?
Yes — it was built for students and families. The reproduction chapter is factual and age-appropriate; the Leader’s Guide recommends parent/guardian permission for minors and offers an alternate activity.
Is this medical advice?
No. Form & Function is education. If you’re worried about your health, talk with a health care provider — and in an emergency, call 911.
Is it accessible?
The eBook has a text view and read-aloud, videos let you control speed, and every game works on phones, tablets and computers.
