Become a Certified Prepared Care Partner for Sickle Cell Disease

Sickle cell disease can move fast — a fever, a cough, or a wave of pain that becomes a crisis. A loved one with SCD needs a care partner who reads the early warning signs, supports the hydroxyurea and hydration routine, and knows the fever rule and the chest-symptom rule cold. Becoming a Certified Prepared Care Partner means you have trained to the same level as the patient — observed and signed off — so the care team can trust you as a partner, not a bystander.

Walk this pathway alongside your patient

This pathway mirrors the Prepared Patient pathway for Sickle Cell Disease, step for step. Some steps you do together with the patient — the same page, the same course, the same card. Others are yours as the care partner. The goal is one team that shares the same knowledge and the same plan.
