🤝 UA Football Alumni × FFH

Be a Division Leader.
Take a team.
Take your own health.

UA Football Alumni Association is naming a Division Leader for every AIA tier — 6A, 5A, 4A, 3A, 2A, 1A, and Girls Flag. Pick a team, mentor them once a month across the school year, and put real focus on your own 40-80 health journey at the same time. Brandon Sanders and the weekly Alumni group are leading the charge.

The 40-80 Reframe

The team that mentors together, lasts together.

UA Football Alumni already meet weekly. You already plan the golf tournament. This is the next swing.

Mentoring a HS team gives you a real reason to look at your own PHIT Score: your sleep, your stress, your cardio, your screenings. You're not telling 16-year-olds to take care of themselves while you skip your own physical. You're modeling it.

And the truth: your 40-80 decade is when the football you played catches up. We honor Kwame Lassiter every time we run a cardiac screening at one of these events.

How It Works

Five steps. Once a month.

We made this so it fits inside a busy professional life. The mentor role is intentionally a light touch — one in-person or video check-in per month, plus a quick gamified action.

Pick a Division

Below. Or message Brandon Sanders if you want a different one.

We Match You to a Team

We pair you with a HS team in your division — usually the Coach has already opted in via the Coaches' A³ Challenge.

One Check-in / Month

Practice visit, locker-room talk, video call. Whatever works. We give you the topic prompts.

Take Your Own PHIT Score

Same quarter the kids do their screening, you do yours. Your team sees you show up.

Recruit, Compete, May Champ

Bring in collegiate or pro alums for bonus pts. Compete on Community Impact + IDEAS + Overall. May Championship dinner closes the year.

Honoring Kwame Lassiter

This program is dedicated to Kwame Lassiter — and to making sure the next one doesn't slip through.

"Athletes have a voice in public health that nobody else has. The locker room IS the messaging channel."

In partnership with the Kwame Lassiter Foundation, the NFLPA Alumni Association of Arizona, and the Sickle Cell Foundation of Arizona. Every Division Leader and every athlete who takes the Pledge is offered free cardiac screening through these partners.

TB's Player Development Engine

We didn't have to build the workforce piece. TB already did.

UA's Player Development team — led by TB — runs internships, character work, and workforce readiness for current athletes. We plug straight in so every HS player in this program gets a real shot at what comes after the highlight reel.

  • Real Internships: Hospitals, Chambers of Commerce, public health depts, FFH partners.
  • Character Coaching: Same playbook TB runs at UA — adapted for HS age.
  • Workforce Readiness: Resume, interview, LinkedIn, financial literacy.
  • FFH Career Ecosystem: 360 Health Career pathways — over 200 roles mapped.
  • Phlebotomy Prep + Health Career Bootcamps: Open to athletes who want a paycheck-skill before college.
