FORCE FOR HEALTH · CAREER PATHWAY
The PT Assistant — Readiness Pathway
Get anatomy-ready and movement-ready for a PTA associate program.
⚠ DRAFT — clinical content pending physician sign-off
🔗How this page works: like the other FFH tracks, it's a guide, not a container. Each card opens a standalone module or an existing Force for Health course — nothing is forked or locked here. This hub is a reference-only curator for the PTA pathway.
Where Force for Health fits
PTA is a licensed role — an accredited degree and a licensure exam, not a short cert
The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) is a licensed clinical role. It requires a CAPTE-accredited associate degree and passing the NPTE-PTA licensure exam. A PTA works under the direction of a physical therapist — carrying out the plan of care; a PTA does not evaluate the patient or write the plan.
So Force for Health is not a short cert or exam prep. We provide readiness, anatomy, and exploration that feeds a college partner's CAPTE associate program — you arrive already anatomy-fluent and movement-literate.
🎓 Force for Health providesReadiness + musculoskeletal anatomy (3D) + exploration — the vocabulary, joints, movements, and scope you bring into a program. Reference-only, self-paced.
🏛️ A career partner suppliesA community college / PT program delivers the CAPTE-accredited associate degree, hands-on labs, supervised clinical hours, and the NPTE-PTA licensure path. That part cannot be done online.
Start with the anatomy — explore in 3D
Explore the skeletal system in 3D — the 360° Human Explorer. Rotate, zoom, and name the bones and joints a PTA works with every day.

MSK Anatomy (3D)
The flagship. Bones, joints, and the muscles that move them — explored in the interactive 360° Human Explorer so the vocabulary is familiar before a lab ever starts.

ROM & Goniometry
Range of motion by joint and plane, and how a goniometer measures it — the language and landmarks you'll use to document movement.

Therapeutic Exercise Intro
An orientation to therapeutic exercise — strength, flexibility, and endurance concepts a PTA helps deliver inside the PT's plan of care.

What a career partner adds
Force for Health gets you ready; a college partner makes you a PTA. A CAPTE-accredited associate degree, hands-on labs, supervised clinical hours, and the NPTE-PTA licensure exam can only come from an accredited PT program — they are the required, hands-on, credential-bearing parts of becoming a licensed PTA. What Force for Health does is get learners ready and anatomy-fluent before and around that, so the accredited program time is spent on skills, not catching up on vocabulary.
