Welcome back to the Skills Lab. 😊 A blood pressure is only as good as your technique — a sloppy setup gives a false number, and we treat numbers. Let's do this the right way: set the patient up, listen for the Korotkoff sounds, and classify the result. Take your time — three clean steps and this skill lights up in your room.

A
Set up for an accurate reading
Tap every action that supports an accurate blood pressure. Leave the wrong ones alone.
B
Measure with the right technique
Palpate the radial pulse, inflate ~20–30 mmHg above where it disappears, then deflate slowly, about 2 mmHg per second.
🎧 You auscultate over the brachial artery. As the cuff deflates, the first Korotkoff sound is heard at 138 mmHg; the last sound disappears at 86 mmHg. Record the reading.

C
Classify the reading (ACC/AHA)
Using the reading you confirmed, choose the correct category.
🏥 Your Skills Lab Room
Every device you master lights up here. (Building toward the full real-room photo Dr. Rob is sending.)
⚑ Build notes for Lucy/Pace & Dr. Rob: swap the stand-in logo for FFH_WHITE_LOGO_SRC; when Dr. Rob sends the real hospital-room photo, we can map each device hot-spot onto it so tapping a device opens its skill module. The BP thresholds here follow ACC/AHA teaching categories — a single reading is a teaching model, not a diagnosis; always recheck with good technique and act on facility parameters and orders.
