Carl's newest power. Put one long-form LIVE broadcast in — the caption file, the YouTube link, the master recording — and get the entire post-show package out: an episode recap, a speaker gallery, every quote linked to its exact second, share cards, captioned shorts, an eMagazine flip book, and an original anthem. Proven on the PCTWC 50th Anniversary broadcast in one afternoon.
Post-show editing — turning a 60- to 90-minute broadcast into shareable quotes, shorts, and a recap people will actually read — was the slowest, most painful step after every FFH LIVE. It used to take days of hand work per episode. It now takes one afternoon, and most of it is automatic.
The Broadcast Recap Engine is a repeatable pipeline (skill: broadcast-recap-kit). A human still chooses the quotes and writes the lyrics; the engine locates every quote to the second, builds the pages, renders the cards, cuts and captions the shorts, lays out the magazine, and writes the social copy. It ran for the first time on the Pima County/Tucson Women's Commission 50th and produced the whole package below.
Every FFH LIVE ends the same way: a great recording, a folder of good intentions, and a backlog. Advance the Dream, Ready & Resilient, My Healthy Broadband, LEAD ON — each got recaps and speaker galleries, but each one was built by hand, episode by episode, and the shorts rarely got made at all. The value of a broadcast decays fast; a quote shared the morning after is worth ten shared a month later.
The 50th was the forcing function. Coach Lucy's brief on August 27: "This IS the biggest pain point for us to solve — post-show edits into meaningful shorts, shareable quotes and assets… every single speaker, 1–2 quotes per speaker, with a direct link to their quote… as automated as possible." Instead of building the 50th recap by hand one more time, we built the machine and ran the 50th through it.

| Speaker gallery + quote bank | Built for 2 series (R&R, ATD); no filtering by theme | Filter by theme or speaker, copy quote, copy link, download card, real video-frame posters NEW |
| Quote cards | Canva, one at a time, when there was time | Square / story / wide PNG for every card-flagged quote, branded, in ~2 minutes NEW |
| Shorts | Rarely produced — too slow | Frame-accurate cuts from the master, 9:16 with speaker banner + blurred backdrop + burned captions, and 16:9 NEW |
| Transcript | Raw VTT | Cleaned, timestamped, every block links to YouTube AUTO |
| Social copy | Written ad hoc | Master post + one caption per card + shorts titles, with links AUTO |
| eMagazine | Maggie issues built by hand (2 to date) | 17-spread Maggie issue + print PDF generated from the same inputs NEW |
| Anthem | Listening Lab flow, separate project | Lyrics rule (< 2,500 chars, drawn from what speakers said) + ElevenLabs demo cut embedded in the magazine; Listening Lab genre set follows NEW |
| Quote bank data | Spreadsheet, sometimes | CSV + JSON with speaker, theme, second, link — ready for scheduling tools AUTO |
Four small inputs drive everything: episode.json (title, date, YouTube ID, brand, links, lead), speakers.json (every speaker with start/end seconds, recap, takeaway), quotes.json (the curated quotes with a few caption words to anchor start and end), and lyrics.md. Five commands — parse → suggest → locate → build → magazine — do the rest. The heavy video work runs on Lucy's Mac (the 2.9 GB master never leaves it); pages, cards and the magazine render in the cloud.
Where it lives: FFH-Skills/broadcast-recap-kit/ — SKILL.md (the SOP), recapkit.py, recapkit_mag.py, and the 50th as the worked example. Build state: v2, production-tested end to end on one broadcast. Not in the bundle: auto-posting to platforms, coin rewards on the recap pages, and lyric-faithful music generation (see Gaps).
Women's Equality Day, August 26, 2026 — 1 hr 22 min live to YouTube, LinkedIn and Facebook, produced as FFH's in-kind gift to the Commission. By the next afternoon the Commission had:
18 speakers in order — Giffords, Supervisor Allen, Mayor Romero, Jan Lesher, Daisy Jenkins, Alison Hughes, the chefs, the Commission — with 48 verbatim quotes that play at the exact second. Open →
13 themes, filter by speaker, copy/share/download. Open →
Ready for Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, X, Reels, Shorts and TikTok — with a caption for every one.
"Look Back to Propel Forward" — 17 pages, PDF edition, and "Bring a Folding Chair," the 50th anthem, playing inside. Open →
One working session. No new vendors. A few ElevenLabs credits for the 3-minute anthem demo. The Commission received a package that would have been a five-figure agency deliverable — and FFH now owns the machine that made it.
Positioning: inside Omni-Media Publishing, under Carl Content Creator: "Long-form video in. Everything out." Carl already turns data into daily headlines; now he turns broadcasts into a full content season. The public feature page shows the pipeline and the 50th as the live example.
Audiences: (1) every FFH channel community with a LIVE series — Advance the Dream, Ready & Resilient, My Healthy Broadband, LEAD ON, Devva's Room — the backlog is the first customer; (2) Chambers of Health, commissions, coalitions and partners who run their own events and get the broadcast as an FFH gift; (3) sponsors, who receive quote-level attribution and a magazine they can put their name on.
With every FFH-produced LIVE: recap + gallery + quote bank + cards. The gift that keeps the partner posting for months.
Adds the captioned shorts set and a sponsor lower-third. Sold to the event sponsor, not the host.
Adds the eMagazine (print PDF included) and an original anthem across the Listening Lab genre set — the keepsake edition.
Coach hosting: co-hosted. Coach Lucy fronts civic, community and women's-leadership productions (the 50th); Dr. Rob fronts clinical and career broadcasts (Prepared Patients, workforce). Funnel assets present: public feature page, Showcase cards, hub cards on both the 50th program hub and the PCTWC Command Center; the recap pages themselves carry the Ask (give · serve · attend).
suggest command ranks candidate sentences, but choosing the 48 that matter is judgment — and should stay that way. Budget ~45 minutes per episode for it.Recommendation: adopt the Broadcast Recap Engine as the post-show SOP for every FFH LIVE, effective now, and publish it as a Carl feature so partners and sponsors can see what an FFH broadcast comes with. Run the backlog through it before building anything new by hand.
