LuvNSol Moments with Coach Lucy: A Mother's Day Reflection
Mother’s Day always carries a bittersweet rhythm in my heart.
It’s a day wrapped in gratitude and memory—where I celebrate the deepest joys of motherhood while quietly missing the woman who shaped me with love, strength, and unwavering purpose. My mom may no longer be here physically, but she is present in every breath I take, every decision I make, and every soul I reach. I live my life in her spirit, and in that way, she walks beside me every single day.
On the flip side, this day also offers a powerful pause for me to reflect on what I consider my greatest life achievement: the launch of my two babies into this beautiful, unpredictable world. Watching them grow into compassionate, kind, intelligent, humble, hard-working, and loving adults has been my most fulfilling mission. They are healthy. They are capable. They are dreaming boldly and living bravely—and because of that, I am the happiest momma in the world.
Motherhood is a journey that demands presence, patience, and plenty of grace. It isn’t perfect—but it’s powerful. And I truly believe that a mother, in her essence, is one of the greatest forces on Earth. A mother can be a Force for Good, a Force for Health, a Force for Change, and always, a Force for Love. Through her nurture, her resilience, and her unwavering care, a mother influences generations and leaves ripples of impact that go far beyond her own family.
Whether you’re a birth mom, bonus mom, mentor mom, or a mom figure in someone’s life, your love matters. Your effort matters. You matter.
So on this Mother’s Day, I’m sending love to every momma out there:
Take a break. Take a breath. Give yourself a hug. You deserve it.
You are doing sacred work. And even in the messy, exhausting, perfectly imperfect moments, you are building something beautiful.
Mother’s Day in the United States became an official national holiday in 1914, thanks to the tireless efforts of Anna Jarvis, who wanted to honor her own mother’s legacy of service and care. The idea caught on quickly, and President Woodrow Wilson signed the proclamation making the second Sunday in May a day of national recognition for mothers.
Today, while the date and traditions may vary across countries, Mother’s Day is celebrated around the world, reminding us all of the universal power of a mother’s love. It’s a day to reflect, reconnect, and re-center around the women who helped shape who we are.
With deepest LuvNSol,
