⚕️ Why this matters for Brothers: Black men have the highest rates of hypertension in the world — and Alpha men are no different. 1 in 3 Black adults has high blood pressure. Most don't know it. This screener takes 90 seconds.

5How often do you check your feet for cuts, sores, swelling, or changes in skin color?
⚠️ Why this matters: Diabetes reduces circulation and nerve sensation in the feet — so a small cut or blister can progress to serious infection, gangrene, or amputation before you even feel it. Diabetes is the #1 cause of non-traumatic lower-limb amputations in the US. A daily 60-second foot check is one of the most important prevention habits a diabetic or pre-diabetic can build.

🧠 Brothers carry a lot. Systemic stress, professional pressure, family responsibility, and the invisible weight of navigating America as a Black man — all of this has measurable effects on physical health. This is not weakness. This is biology.

🎗️ Why this matters for Alpha Brothers: Black men are 70% more likely to develop prostate cancer and more than twice as likely to die from it compared to white men. Most of that gap is explained by one thing: later diagnosis. The American Cancer Society recommends the PSA screening conversation begin at age 40 for Black men — not 50. A conversation with your doctor costs nothing.
🎗️ Prostate Health · ACS Screening Guidelines
1Have you ever had a PSA (prostate-specific antigen) blood test?

Yes — something was elevated or flagged
No — never tested
Not sure

Yes, I have some or all of these symptoms
Blood in urine or semen
No symptoms
🔴 Why this matters for Alpha Brothers: Sickle cell disease affects approximately 1 in 365 Black Americans. An estimated 1 in 13 Black Americans carries the sickle cell trait — often without knowing it. Understanding your status is one of the most important health actions you can take.

Brothers, We Need Your Blood

People with sickle cell disease often require regular blood transfusions — sometimes monthly — to survive. They respond best to blood from donors of similar ethnic ancestry. Black donors are critically underrepresented in blood banks nationwide. As an Alpha Brother, your donation is not just generous — it may be the only compatible match for someone in a pain crisis right now.
